At Anubhuti’s recent workshop on women’s safety rights, we started with a powerful screening of the movie PINK. The film set the stage for meaningful conversations with young girls and women about their safety and rights. Together, we unpacked the underlying issues of patriarchy and restrictive social norms, shedding light on how these structures often perpetuate victim-blaming in cases of harassment and violence. The discussion highlighted the critical role of gender and its impact on women’s safety.
We also explored actionable steps we can take as individuals and communities to prevent such situations and ensure a safer environment for women.
Moving forward, Anubhuti is committed to hosting these workshops every month, creating a space where girls and women can come together in solidarity. These gatherings will foster a supportive environment where everyone can share their experiences, uplift one another, and work towards building a safer, more just society for all.
