Over 2 days and nights of 13th and 14th April, on occasion of Dr, Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Jayanti, a group of over 60 youth – from NT-DNT, Adivasi, Dalit, Bahujan communities carried out campaigns with thousands of people at Jayanti Mandals and rallies across Kalyan, Ambernath and Badlapur in Thane District. The youth force of the Anubhuti-mentored Badlache Parv Kala Manch paid powerful respects to Dr. Ambedkar – they came from interior rural, Adivasi villages, negotiated with their families to stay out till very late at night, but continued their campaign to reach maximum people. Thus they connecting with hundreds of followers of Dr Ambedkar, with rich intellectual, cultural, political experiences and learnings.
Many of them took selfies at our unique Selfie with Babasaheb stand. The artwork on this stand was created by artist Sanjiv Sonpipare, and is evocative of the emotions, movements, ideologies, history, work and great legacy of Chhatrapati Shahu, Mahatma Phule, and Babasaheb Ambedkar’s movement.
