This is the report of an Action Research carried out in 2019 with 1000 college students in Thane District, Maharashtra, India, on ‘Youth Mental Justice’. The report presents data on the mental health concerns of diverse grassroot youth and connects this to social hierarchies, introducing few aspects of “Mental Justice” – a concept coined and developed by our Founder Deepa Pawar where Mental Health is posited as a Social Justice issue, and viewed from the Indian Constitutional framework of rights, justice, equity, freedom, dignity, democracy. Deepa is representing the same at the international Goalkeepers platform, working for the global SDGs.
