At Anubhuti, we strongly believe that consistent efforts form the bedrock for embedding transformative work into the heart of our communities. Our ongoing work with ashram schools in and around Thane district is a prime example of this dedication.
The idea of mental health is often complex and hard to grasp, especially in underserved communities. However, by integrating continuous capacity building and encouraging open dialogue, we are creating small yet meaningful spaces where these crucial conversations can take root. This steady, step-by-step approach is helping the youth understand mental health in a way that is relevant and accessible to them.
Today, we held a session at Lavhali Shivshakti Ashram Shala, where the topic of mental well-being was brought to life using simple games. These games were not just for fun—they were designed to break down the often-complicated concept of mental health into something that could be easily understood. The beauty of this method is that it creates a safe space for the students to participate, ask questions, and learn without feeling overwhelmed.
At Anubhuti, we know that mental health is not just about individual well-being; it is deeply tied to the concept of mental justice—a collective responsibility where communities recognize and support each other’s mental dignity. Our sessions aim to empower young minds by helping them understand how their mental health is connected to the challenges they face in daily life, such as gender expectations, relationships, and even social pressures.
Through our work with these student groups, we’re making sure that mental justice is not just a conversation but a lived reality. One session, one discussion, and one game at a time, we’re building a stronger, healthier future for these youth.
