A community-driven survey across 40 NT-DNT communities, with interviews of over 400 individuals, exposed an alarming truth: they are denied everything a citizen should have—clean water, electricity, toilets, housing, rehabilitation, education, and personal security. The absence of disaster management, streetlights, and sanitation only adds to their daily struggle for survival. It is a damning reflection of how deep-rooted injustice has left these people to fend for themselves in the most undignified conditions
This injustice was brought into sharp focus during the #हक्कांचंकाय Conference, where over 250 women, youth, community stakeholders, and media members gathered to demand action. A powerful postcard campaign was launched, calling on the authorities to finally deliver what has been denied for so long—access to basic human rights and resources that every citizen is entitled to.
