On 28-29 October, we were very excited to organize a residential camp on Photography, Videography and how to handle cameras with NT-DNT, Adivasi, and Dalit Bahujan young women from the different communities where we work.
While devices like cameras and mobile phones are not easily accessed by them, given the opportunity, a whole world of exploration, expression and creativity opens up. These young women have stared their journey towards visual representation of their experiences and lives using photography, through this small effort of a residential camp. We thank Photography expert – Padma Shri Sudharak Olwe who has been using photography since many years as a tool for advocacy, and his team, for their guidance and expertise during the camp.
