Anubhuti organized a 2 day residential camp with youth who are from #Nomadic #Denotified #Adivasi populations that have been connected to Anubhuti through various workshops. Many of them are from ITI colleges coming from a diverse geographical area of 3 Districts and 10 Municipalities or Gram Panchayatareas.
In the 2 days, we addressed the topic of understanding leadership through lenses of mental health , gender and democracy. Youth explored different aspects of leadership and thought through what they understand about being a leader. They also reflected how gender, caste, Patriarchy, and the biased media construct what we understand as leadership and whom we accept as leaders. And of course, how values of the Indian Constitution can support during our leadership journey.
Always ending with action and change, they discussed how as youth leaders in their communities what change they can bring at our own level and at community level, and so many questions were discussed.
This training created space for reflections, working on our biases, and taking a stand for Justice and the truth.
