Under the Hum Sanvidhanwadi campaign, we at Anubhuti hold regular constitutional dialogue to engage young minds in understanding the values that shape our nation. Yesterday, we had the opportunity to conduct a session with students at a school in Dombivli. To kick things off, we asked a simple question: “What’s the first word that comes to mind when you hear the word ‘Constitution’?”
At first, there was hesitation. But soon, the responses started flowing: discipline, rules, guarantee, law, protection, togetherness, equality, and even phrases like ‘the country’s book’ and ‘for everyone’. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s name came up too. In total, over 50 words were shared before we had to wrap up due to time constraints.
The point here is clear—some may think they are leading the nation, but the true strength of this country lies in the understanding and values of its people. And it was clear that these students had a deep grasp of what moves our nation forward: the Constitution and its guiding principles.
What gave us hope is the enthusiasm I saw in these young minds. We held two sessions with around 200 students—both young men and women—discussing the Constitution, human rights, and how these powerful ideas lay the foundation for social and mental justice. Using simple language, interactive games, and engaging dialogue, the conversations were not just informative but empowering.
There’s already a basic understanding of these issues at the grassroots level. Our role is to nurture this knowledge, build stronger foundations, and create pathways for a more inclusive and just society. The youth are ready to take this journey, and we at Anubhuti are here to walk with them every step of the way.
Together, let’s build a nation that reflects the true values of equality, justice, and unity!
